The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) has published an article that identifies seven trends that shape decisions across the construction industry in 2023—including virtual reality and sustainability.
“Overall, 2022 was an uneven year for the U.S. construction industry, which had to deal with inflation, high interest rates, supply chain disruptions, rising material costs, and a tight labor market,” ASME reports. “Even so, U.S. builders are cautiously optimistic for 2023, due in part to their successes in adopting digital strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.”
