Financial Hardship Policy for ANSI Events

Financial Hardship Policy for ANSI Events

American National Standards Institute (“ANSI”) realizes that economic circumstances may impact the ability of some individuals to pay the full registration fee for events, conferences and training programs (“events”). ANSI is committed to ensuring participation is accessible to all relevant individuals, regardless of financial situation. This policy ensures that financial barriers do not prevent individuals from attending events hosted by ANSI.

Eligibility Requirements

Individuals experiencing genuine financial hardship may apply for fee assistance. Applicants must demonstrate both a financial need and relevant background to be considered for reduced fees.

Financial Hardship Guidelines

Applications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Various circumstances will be taken into consideration, including but not limited to:

  • Current unemployment or significant reduction in income
  • Unexpected medical expenses or family emergencies
  • Economic hardship due to natural disasters or other extraordinary circumstances
  • Student status or other financial constraint

How to Apply

Individuals requesting financial assistance must send a letter by email to the event organizer at least one (1) week before the date of the event. Late applications cannot be guaranteed for consideration.

Letters must include:

  • Current contact information and relevant background
  • Written statement explaining your current financial situation
  • Signed certification statement that all information provided is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge

Policy Terms

  • Applicants understand that ANSI may verify any information provided.
  • Financial assistance covers registration fees only. Participants remain responsible for their own transportation, accommodation, and meal expenses unless otherwise specified.
  • All application information is kept strictly confidential and reviewed only by authorized staff.
  • Assistance decisions are made based on available funding and cannot be appealed once finalized.
