ANSI members are encouraged to participate in a bilateral hybrid meeting with the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China (CNCA) on certification- and accreditation-related issues in the U.S. and China. The meeting will be held on June 4 at 9:00 p.m. U.S. ET (June 5, 9:00 a.m. Beijing time). ANSI members can register by end of day on June 2 for virtual or in-person attendance in Xiong’an, China.
Led by ANSI’s senior vice president for international policy, Joseph Tretler, and the Deputy Director General for the Department of Regulation of Certification, Yao Lei, the meeting offers an opportunity for ANSI members to directly engage with Chinese policy makers and relevant stakeholders. Participants will discuss Chinese and U.S. conformity assessment regulations, with a specific focus on carbon neutrality and AI-related policies.
The bilateral meeting is in line with the ANSI-CNCA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), which commits the two organizations to renew and maintain communication on important issues in standards and conformity assessment.
Access more details in the meeting agenda. Registrants will receive an access link and more information by June 3. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided. ANSI members are encouraged to send questions ahead of time.
