CEDIA has posted an episode of its podcast that provides details on the new Product Security & Telecommunications Infrastructure Bill (PSTI).
Based around ETSI EN 303 645, PSTI will go into effect in UK, affecting all connected products with mandatory compliance. The bill will require manufacturers, importers, and distributors to ensure minimum security requirements for consumer connectable products. CEDIA states that, like ERP and GDRP, PTSI will “undoubtedly make its way to the entire world in some fashion at some point in time.”
