The InterNational Electrical Testing Association (NETA) has named Bryant Phillips as its new executive director.
Prior to joining NETA, Phillips was district operations manager, TN, for CE Power. He has also served as the president and CEO of Nixon Power Services Company.
“Bryant’s background includes success as a CEO in the power generation space and as an executive of operations for a NETA Accredited Company,” said NETA Board president Eric Beckman. “His track record includes success in strategic planning and execution, Board leadership positions, staff development, and expansion into international markets. The Board is pleased to onboard Bryant’s unique credentials and professional experience to complement the organization’s current leadership team and direct this exciting period of opportunity for NETA.”
The American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) has announced the promotion of Chris Gunning to the newly created role of director of operational excellence. Gunning has been with A2LA for the past 14 years and has served as a general manager of accreditation services, focusing on the life sciences group within A2LA.
He has 10 years of laboratory experience in the biological field working in variety of regulatory environments, from research through cGMP compliant vaccine production. Gunning also has experience training both publicly and privately, and has developed and delivered training courses on the topics of understanding ISO/IEC 17025:2017, General Requirements For The Competence Of Testing And Calibration Laboratories, root cause, and corrective action, as well as internal auditing. He also led the instruction course for all new A2LA assessors using the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard.
