The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) is pleased to announce a virtual workshop for new and emerging professionals that simulates the experience of taking part in the process of creating voluntary consensus standards. This standards simulation event is made possible by the generous sponsorship of The Boeing Company.
The workshop will be held via Zoom on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 11:00am-3:00pm ET. Please note that all participants are required to arrive on time and stay for the full length of the simulation.
“The Sky is the Limit” is a role-playing simulation that aims to give participants hands-on experience with standards processes. Participants will acquire an understanding of the stakes in standardization; gain insights into standards-related interests and strategies; and learn the relevance of standards processes. Arjan Widlak, of Netherlands-based United Knowledge, will facilitate.
Attendance at the event is limited to new and emerging professionals who have been involved in standardization work for eight years or less. Because of the interactive nature of the event, space is limited to a small group. Due to high demand, individuals should sign up only if they are committed to attending and meet the criteria of being involved in standards-related work for eight years or less.
