In consultation with its governance leadership, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has updated its COVID-19 policy for meetings. Visitors to ANSI offices and attendees of meetings hosted by ANSI, Workcred, and the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) will no longer be required to complete the Visitor Protocols and Acknowledgement Form. Unvaccinated guests will no longer be required to obtain a negative PCR test prior to attendance. ANSI will continue to institute its masking policy, which includes wearing a mask when the COVID-19 Community Level in the county where the ANSI office or meeting is located is HIGH or MEDIUM as defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
ANSI’s COVID-19 policies are informed by federal, state, and local guidelines, as well as the CDC recommendations regarding business gatherings. According to leading infectious-disease experts, the coronavirus has moved to the endemic phase, meaning that while it is still present, COVID-19 is no longer causing large waves of illness or overwhelming healthcare systems.
ANSI, Workcred, and ANAB leadership will continue to monitor COVID-19 developments and may issue additional announcements as circumstances evolve. Please visit www.ansi.org/covid-19 for the latest information.
