Background on JTC 1 and Smart Cities

Since its formation, the group has grown to over 160 registered experts, with 10 projects completed. Earlier this year, the Chinese National Committee submitted a proposal to JTC 1 to form a subcommittee on smart cities.

The web conference will feature a presentation from the Standardization Administration of China (SAC). JTC 1/WG 11 convenor Heng Qian will lead the session and share information about the proposal and justification for the creation of the subcommittee. The conference will include remarks from Phil Wennblom, JTC 1 chair.
