People on the Move

11/13/2020

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI), a member and accredited standards developer of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), has appointed Dawn Decker as executive director of its Mid-Atlantic Chapter.

Ms. Decker was a marketing consultant for the chapter this past summer, when she developed a strategy to grow awareness and specifications of precast concrete products targeting transportation, design, construction, and academic audiences. She also worked with regional directors to support a webinar series in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, and assisted them with their need to provide education programs to members’ customers.

“Dawn has met many of our producer and associate member companies in-person and virtually in the last few months,” said chapter president Bob Pabst. “She is enthusiastic about working closely with our membership to promote our businesses and grow demand for our products.”

The Conveyor Equipment Manufacturers Association (CEMA), an ANSI member and accredited standards developer, has named Michael Nisenbaum as director of membership and marketing. In this role, Mr. Nisenbaum will focus on implementing CEMA’s strategic plan and supporting the organization and its membership.

Mr. Nisenbaum has over 35 years of experience in the industrial marketplace. Prior to joining CEMA, he was director of business development for Gates Corporation. He has also served as the director of sales and marketing for Timken/Carlisle, president of Peer Incorporated, and as senior vice president of Tsubaki. Mr. Nisenbaum was president of CEMA and its Board of Directors, as well as president of MPTA and a member of the Power Transmission Distributor Association’s manufacturing council.
