Following its announcement in Standards Action, an accreditation application is circulated via letter ballot to the ANSI Executive Standards Council's (ExSC) Subcommittee on Accreditation (SC-A) for a three-week review to determine whether the application demonstrates initial procedural compliance with ANSI’s requirements. Following its review, the SC-A will provide an initial recommendation to the ExSC as to whether the application should be approved.
Use this time period to review and begin to prepare responses to any comments you may receive from the SC-A or from the public as they come in.
The SC-A’s assessment is an initial review intended to provide you the opportunity to clarify or revise your procedures or any aspect of your application if necessary in order to successfully meet ANSI’s requirements before the ExSC makes its final decision.
