Register by January 12: Stakeholder Event under the Transatlantic Initiative for Sustainable Trade

1/08/2024

Event to be held on January 30-31 in Washington, DC, and online

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) encourages all relevant stakeholders to participate in an upcoming EU-U.S. Trade and Technology Council (TTC) event: “Crafting the Transatlantic Green Marketplace.”

The comprehensive stakeholder event will solicit input on the Transatlantic Initiative on Sustainable Trade (TIST) Work Programme, which was launched at the May 31 TTC ministerial meeting.

The event will give the transatlantic stakeholder community the opportunity to provide input on how TIST can promote a more integrated and resilient transatlantic marketplace, helping to accelerate the transition to a climate-neutral and more circular economy that will benefit businesses, workers, and consumers in the U.S. and Europe.

“Crafting the Transatlantic Green Marketplace” will take place on January 30-31, 2024, at the JW Marriott in Washington, DC. Register for in-person attendance by Friday, January 12, at 12:00 ET. In-person attendance is limited due to capacity and will be confirmed after registration.

Registration for virtual attendance will open in the coming weeks.

The event will start with remarks by EU and U.S. TTC principals, followed by a high-level plenary session. Stakeholders can attend various breakout sessions to discuss specific issues related to the TIST Work Programme, including increasing circularity, promoting the roll-out of more environmentally friendly technologies, and assuring that the transition to the cleantech economy is just. The thematic sessions will be interactive roundtable discussions steered by partnering U.S. and EU organizations. Hybrid options are being considered.
