The ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) will host a webinar that will provide an overview of the requirements for risk-based thinking and examine how risk-based thinking can be used as a preventive action process for organizations.
As conformity assessment standards are edited and reissued by the ISO Committee for Conformity Assessment (CASCO), risk-based thinking is replacing traditional preventive action requirements. Requirements for addressing risks and opportunities are incorporated into the management system requirements. The intention is to encourage organizations to use risk-based thinking as an ongoing activity to prevent nonconformities from occurring, as well as enhance the occurrence of opportunities.
