People on the Move

6/09/2023

People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The American Clean Power Association (ACP) recently announced the appointment of Sarah Beerbower as vice president of member relations. She will lead member engagement, value, and growth for the association.

Beerbower has over 15 years of experience in senior roles at trade associations across several sectors and a record of driving significant growth in revenue. Previously, she worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as the senior vice president of corporate relations, responsible for expanding and cultivating a diverse membership of companies and new initiative development.

“ACP’s strength is our membership,” said Jason Clark, ACP’s chief strategy officer. “Sarah’s experience engaging current members and recruiting new members will be foundational to ACP’s continued growth and success during this pivotal time in our industry. We are fortunate to have Sarah’s exceptional talents join our expanding leadership team to support ACP’s role as the largest and most influential clean energy trade association.”

“I am incredibly excited to join ACP and contribute to the growth of domestic clean energy at this crucial time for the industry and economy,” said Beerbower. “I look forward to working closely with ACP’s wide base of members, fostering industry collaboration, and ensuring that we continue to drive clean energy innovation and growth.”

The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) recently announced new hire Cambria McLeod as its vice president of industry relations and business development.

In her role, McLeod will cultivate new relationships and deepen existing relationships with IAPMO’s customer base, and collaborate with department heads in the strategic development, planning, oversight, and execution of IAPMO's business development strategies, objectives, and initiatives throughout North America and abroad. She will also support government relations and field services in developing analyses, technical positions, and comments for public rulemaking.

An industry expert in product compliance, McLeod has 17 years of experience in the plumbing industry. She held various roles during her tenure at Kohler Co., including quality engineer; sales engineer; senior staff engineer; and, most recently, manager of codes, standards, and regulations. She has also participated in various industry committees, standards committees, and task groups including the Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI) board of directors, American Supply Association, Alliance for Water Efficiency, American Society of Plumbing Engineers, and the Canadian Standards Association.

“We are excited to have Cambria join our team of industry experts,” said Lee Mercer, IAPMO executive vice president of industry relations and business development. “She is well known and respected among the industry. Cambria’s engineering and manufacturing experience, along with her expertise in the compliance and regulatory environment for the plumbing industry, further solidifies IAPMO’s commitment to helping our clients. Manufacturers want to work with companies that understand the impacts and dynamics various regulatory requirements have on their business; that is why they come to us to help them navigate the regulatory requirements for marketing their products.”
