3/21/2023

Complimentary Session on March 29

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) invites all stakeholders to register for its informative public webinar, What is an American National Standard Anyway?, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. ET. The session, expected to run 60-90 minutes, is open to anyone interested in learning about ANSI and its role in the American National Standard (ANS) process.

Advance registration is required.

The free webinar, open to all, will provide an overview of the ANS process and explain how stakeholders can participate in voluntary consensus standards development through ANSI-Accredited Standards Developers (ASDs). The session will address the following questions:

  • What is an American National Standard (ANS)?
  • How can I participate in the development of an ANS?
  • What are ANSI's Essential Requirements?
  • What does ANSI accreditation of a standards developing organization mean?
  • How can I identify ANSI-Accredited Standards Developers and connect with one?
  • How can I identify standards that are approved as an ANS, and why does that approval matter?
  • What is ANSI's role in standardization?

The webinar is especially relevant to consumers, industry, government, academics, standards developers, and standards users. ANSI welcomes questions before and during the session. Please send any inquiries to [email protected].
