Registration is open: The U.S. National Committee (USNC) of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) invites relevant stakeholders to two special trainings on September 12-13. Both in-person and virtual participation options are available; register by August 29 via the USNC Fall Trainings registration link.
Day 1: USNC TAG Leadership Workshop
The USNC Communications committee will host its 10th Technical Advisory Group (TAG) Leadership Workshop on Monday, September 12, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. USNC TAG and Technical Committee leaders are invited to attend, as are other interested members of the USNC constituency. The workshop will cover the TAG Model Operating Procedures, IEC/International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Directives, new copyright procedures, a new IEC authoring tool, and more.
Day 2: IEC Procedures and Processes
In conjunction with the IEC Secretariat, the USNC will co-host the IEC Procedures and Processes Course on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET. Topics covered will include the international standards development process, how to draft and edit international standards, Systems work, and IEC IT tools, services and developments.
The in-person events will be hosted by FM Approvals at the Four Points by Sheraton in Norwood, MA. Please note that the networking portions of these trainings will not be accessible to virtual participants.
