In view of the significant health risks posed by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)now declared a pandemic by the World Health Organizationthe American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has put in place several precautions:
Temporary Office Closures
To ensure the safety of our employees, the continuity of ANSI's operations, and to help minimize the potential spread of the virus, ANSI's NYC office and ANAB's Milwaukee office closed on March 16, 2020, for a period of two weeks. All other ANSI/ANAB/Workcred offices will close effective March 17, 2020, for the same period. The office closures may be extended thereafter on a week-to-week basis, as deemed advisable by ANSI leadership.
All ANSI/ANAB/Workcred operations will continue to fully function, with staff working remotely.
Meetings and Events
Additionally, for the foreseeable future and until further notice, ANSI is making virtual attendance available for all upcoming meetings and conferences that are scheduled to be hosted by or in the facilities of ANSI and its affiliates, the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and Workcred.
These precautions have been taken in consultation with the Chair of ANSI's Board of Directors and are consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) recommendations for strategies that businesses might implement to protect their employees, and guests.
ANSI is closely monitoring developments relating to COVID-19 and will issue additional announcements as circumstances evolve.
The health and safety of our employees, members, and guests are our top priority. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
