The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) has released the latest episode of its Case for Safety podcast, highlighting policies and procedures organizations can take to help workers adapt to disruptive winter weather.
Expert guest Victor Rodriguez, an operations meteorologist at Amazon, shares his insights on his organization’s technological innovations and initiatives, including advanced weather modeling, equipment resources, and technical communications tools, to help support ground operations and plan, mitigate, and recover from winter weather climates.
Other episodes in the series, hosted by Scott Fowler, cover safety issues including personal protective equipment for women, how to get safety improvement buy-in from your organization, tips for improving ergonomics, and how advancing workplace safety can increase productivity and benefit a company’s bottom line.
“More than ever, ASSP supports the occupational safety and health community in finding ways to keep workers safe amidst new challenges,” said ASSP president Jim Thornton. “Environments can change rapidly and our podcast continues to be a valuable resource in providing helpful insights.”
