The Green Building Initiative (GBI) will hold a webinar on how building owners can be propelled to improve the sustainability of existing buildings.

Listeners will learn about decision making mechanisms and why building owners make the choice to invest in higher efficiency and lower impact systems. The webinar will help participants to:

• Understand that life cycle analyses can help with equipment selection and that capturing real time data with smart building technology
• Recognize the opportunity for Energy Use Intensity (EUI) reduction and measure progress through incorporation of Energy Star Smart Thermostats
• Understand how green building certification can provide a framework for design and operation and guides for improvement
