The Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) has announced that it will open a new Global Learning Center (GLC) in Quito, Ecuador, at Hospital Metropolitano.

The center, the first GLC site in South America, is part of RSNA’s initiative to improve radiology education and patient care around the world by partnering with established radiology departments in developing countries. A team of RSNA members will collaborate with the GLC to produce a customized educational plan, and to provide equipment and technical assistance as needed. The RSNA team will travel to Ecuador to learn more about the center’s needs, and to present in-person and hands-on training.
