The Linux Foundation’s research arm and its partners have launched a 2021 survey to gather information on the state of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within open source communities.
Results of the survey will assist researchers in understanding the demographics and dynamics surrounding overall contributor participation, as well as help them to identify gaps that can be addressed to advance inclusive cultures within these communities. The research will drive data-driven decisions for future programming and interventions to benefit the people who use and develop open source technologies.
