ANSI, the U.S. member body to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), encourages relevant stakeholders to register for a Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) ISO Open Consultation project on positioning, navigation, and timing services (PNT) by Tuesday, March 4.
ISO Open Consultation—an opportunity for stakeholders around the world to have direct input in the standards development process—is a member-driven program that helps to identify and prioritize the most critical global challenges where standardization can make a difference.
PNT is necessary for the functioning of the nation’s critical infrastructure. Whether for civil, commercial, or military use, nearly all sectors rely on accurate PNT information. These services enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability across various sectors.
This ISO Open Consultation project encompasses a diverse audience involved in PNT for all moving objects globally, throughout their entire lifecycle. It is particularly relevant for PNT professionals in leadership roles, as well as practitioners such as product owners, requirements engineers, and developers. Additionally, it is intended for a broader group of stakeholders, including representatives from academia, government bodies (digital departments), administration, and procurement.
