How to Lead Effective Virtual and Hybrid Meetings: New Video Highlights Organizational Member Perspectives

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released a new video resource, “Hybrid Meetings – OMF Experiences,” offering expert insights and concrete recommendations on leading effective virtual and hybrid meetings. The video captures the panel discussion and interactive dialogue among standardization professionals at the May 2 ANSI Organizational Member Forum (OMF) meeting.

Participant polling during the session drove the lively moderated discussion, offering an easy way for attendees to engage and share experiences on topics such as:

• Key differences between the in-person, virtual/hybrid experience
• Recommendations for meeting times and scheduling across time zones
• Useful tools and applications for planning and in-meeting engagement
• When (and when not) to use video and related best practices

The new video is the third in the OMF series on hybrid meetings and is the latest addition to ANSI’s practicable resources webpage, a collection of free tools, reports, presentations, and guidance to help members and organizations throughout the standardization community adapt to new ways of working and strengthen operations post-pandemic.
