As the U.S. member body to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) encourages stakeholders to join a WebEx call on February 23, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET, to discuss participation in the revision of ISO 20121:2012, Event sustainability management systems — Requirements with guidance for use.
Developed by ISO project committee (PC) 250, Sustainability in event management, ISO 20121:2012 specifies requirements for an event sustainability management system for any type of event or event-related activity, and provides guidance on conforming to those requirements. ISO recently agreed to revise the document, and the call hosted by ANSI will address U.S. participation and the timeline for the next iteration of the standard.
The call will address TAG members and organizations that are interested in serving as the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) administrator for the revision ahead of the first stakeholder meeting, scheduled virtually for the week of March 6, 2023.
