An updated agenda including the lineup of confirmed speakers for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Company Member Forum (CMF) meeting is now available. The CMF will be held virtually on Tuesday, June 14, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm Eastern. ANSI encourages all Company Members to register to attend and join in the discussions of priority standards and conformity assessment issues impacting global business.
Agenda topics and speakers include:
- Trade and Standards: A first-hand account of developments from the EU-U.S. Technology Trade Council (TTC) and the standards-based outcomes from the May 15-16 summit in France presented by ANSI’s vice president of international relations.
- Standards Education: An update on the work of ANSI’s Committee on Education (CoE) from the CoE chair, and discussion of potential ideas for collaboration.
- Emerging Technologies: A panel exploring the approach for standardizing emerging technologies via case studies in additive manufacturing and autonomous vehicles, featuring speakers from the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), Boeing, and HP Inc.
- Different Approaches to Standardization: A discussion of consensus-based documents developed through a variety of approaches in addition to the American National Standards (ANS) process, with speakers from the Information Technology Industry Council (ITIC), Microsoft, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Gesmer Updegrove LLP.
