GS1 has announced a free virtual event to focus on AI’s impact on the supply chain and opportunities for future growth.

The event, to take place on October 10, from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. ET, will focus on the theme “Believe the AI Hype: Exploring the Realities and Opportunities of AI in Supply Chain,” and will feature three expert panel sessions:

• Exploring AI's Positive Potential and the 'Chicken and Egg' Dilemma will examine how unifying data sources enables systems to communicate effectively and understand each other, and what principles should be considered for underlying data structures to bring about long-lasting, positive industry changes.

   

• From Hype to Reality: Navigate the Opportunities and Challenges of AI will feature a discussion on the most recent trends and breakthroughs, and panelists will evaluate AI’s tangible effects so participants can better anticipate the future trajectory of the rapidly advancing technology.

   

• AI Meets Supply Chain: Introducing Intelligence to Your Operations will cover real-world examples and practical use cases that showcase AI’s role in driving efficiency, streamlining operations, cutting costs, and improving strategic decisions within the supply chain.
