SMPTE Hollywood has announced that it will host a virtual panel of experts at its July meeting to discuss standards in the motion picture and television industry.
The Zoom session will cover the history of standards, SMPTE’s role in developing new standards, and the relationship of intellectual property rights and patents to standards. Listeners will gain insight into how standards impact the industry, providing the technical framework for all motion picture and television content.
The session, free for all interested stakeholders, will be held on Thursday, July 22, at noon Pacific Time. See SMPTE’s website to learn more and to register. The event will also be live-streamed on the SMPTE Hollywood Facebook and YouTube pages.
