Health Level 7 International is hosting a free webinar that provides information on a new rule proposed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The proposed rule centers on the Interoperability and Patient Access Rule established in March 2020, with recommended changes to enhance certain policies within and add several new policies. Through the existing rule and proposed new rule, CMS strives to improve health information exchange and reduce burden on payers, providers, and members by collecting member health records at a single location.

HL7 will provide an overview on CMS’s new proposed rule and outline potential next steps to meet the requirements in a webinar on Wednesday, February 16, from 11:00-12:00 a.m. EST. Stakeholders who work with health plans and payers, providers and provider-sponsored health plans, and health IT vendors or health plan services organizations are encouraged to attend.
