ANSI Rebrands Flagship Conference: ANSI Innovation Summit Replaces World Standards Week

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) today announced a transformation of its annual flagship conference, rebranding World Standards Week as the ANSI Innovation Summit: Where Standards Power Progress. The reimagined event—to take place October 21–23, 2025, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center in Rockville, MD—will remain the premier gathering for the standardization community while expanding its reach to showcase how standards are a key driver of innovation and U.S. global competitiveness.

“Standards don't just assure quality and safety; they create the foundation for technological advancement and breakthrough solutions,” said ANSI president and CEO Laurie E. Locascio, Ph.D., NAE. “‘ANSI Innovation Summit’ amplifies that message, reflecting the breadth of ANSI’s mission and our attendees’ expectations: a dynamic forum demonstrating how standardization fuels innovation—compressing time-to-market, breaking down adoption barriers, and scaling technologies from concept to global impact.”

The 2025 Summit will convene industry leaders, technology innovators, standards experts, and representatives of academia, consumer groups, government, and workforce development organizations for interactive discussions and networking events, including:

• A technology conference exploring AI's impact on manufacturing and supply chain transformation, featuring standards-driven innovation case studies
• A Legal Issues Forum exploring two pivotal challenges: the rapid evolution of AI technologies that are outpacing legal frameworks, and the shifting regulatory landscape that is creating new opportunities for industry-led standards to fill emerging gaps
• Interactive sessions on the U.S. Standards Strategy and standards-driven innovation
