The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) encourages its members and relevant stakeholders to register for an upcoming United States Agency for International Development (USAID) webinar exploring “Trade Facilitation: The Road Ahead.”
The fourth session in a webinar summer series from USAID’s Center for Economics and Market Development, the webinar will host experts from the international development community to discuss the progress made towards trade facilitation and what still needs to be done.
Participants will learn about opportunities for multilateral cooperation and technical assistance to catalyze progress, and commitments of government and private sector stakeholders to support further progress. There will be a discussion on technical assistance priorities for advancing efficient controls and procedures to support global supply chains and how improving trade facilitation and digital economy integration can present opportunities.
“Trade Facilitation: The Road Ahead will be held on Thursday, August 4, at 9 am ET. All interested stakeholders, including international development professionals, industry experts, and government regulators, are welcome to register for this free event.
USAID’s summer webinar series are intended to promote discussion about the challenges and opportunities of the digital economy and offer an opportunity for international development partners, private-sector leaders, and other thought leaders to discuss the pressing issue of promoting economic development in a post-COVID world.
