People on the Move highlights the career advancements of high-level trailblazers working professionally in diverse areas of standardization, contributing every day to the strength and success of the U.S. standards and conformance community.

The International Society of Automation (ISA) has welcomed two new additions to their senior staff.

Liz Neiman has joined ISA as managing director, strategic engagement. In this role, Neiman oversees the marketing, communications, and events for the organization’s headquarters.

Neiman comes to ISA with 21 years of experience in marketing and communications, most recently as vice president of engagement at the MIND Research Institute. Prior to that, Neiman was with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), where she began as communications manager and rose to the role of senior director of communications and public relations. Neiman brings with her extensive knowledge on return-on-investment marketing and communications strategy in high-velocity markets.

“Liz Neiman brings significant creative expertise to ISA. She has a real talent in knowing her audience, providing them with precisely the news they need to know or the experience they need to have,” said Claire Ramspeck, executive director of ISA. “She undoubtedly will have a tremendous impact on ISA.”

Michela Cobb is ISA’s new managing director of finance. In this role, Cobb oversees the financial strategy and operations for all ISA entities.

Cobb has over 30 years of finance expertise, having served in CFO and director roles with other non-profits and member-driven organizations. In previous positions, she has developed accounting programs and reporting functions, and directed financial infrastructure and information technology strategies.  Cobb holds a CPA and is a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson.

“We are thrilled to welcome Ms. Cobb as our managing director of finance,” said Ramspeck. “Her financial expertise and exceptional background will further strengthen ISA as a leader in advancing automation professionals.”
