IAPMO Group Highlights Vital Role of Plumbing during March4Water Month

3/21/2024

In honor of March4Water Month, the International Association of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials (IAPMO Group) is paying tribute to the vital role that plumbing plays in building community resilience and protecting public health with related resources.

“March4Water” seeks to bring awareness to challenges and inequities in providing clean drinking water and safe sanitation, as well as the solutions the plumbing industry is producing to address them. Celebrated during the entirety of March, the campaign draws specific awareness to World Plumbing Day on March 11 and World Water Day on March 22.

“March4Water Month is about raising awareness at the grassroots level about how best to address local water policy and plumbing standards to keep people safe while making the best use of resources and promoting affordable homes and buildings,” said Dain Hansen, IAPMO executive vice president of government relations.

Access IAPMO’s resource links on its dedicated March4Water webpage, which includes a plumbing resiliency toolkit for communities and a March4Water promotional kit.
