ASSP Shares Guidance for Women in Safety Leadership

The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) published an article featuring advice from Rosa Carrillo, president Carrillo and Associates Inc., on how women in the safety profession can advance their careers and find new opportunities.

“3 Ways for Women in Safety Leadership to Make Big Career Moves” speaks to women at all stages of their careers with tips for demonstrating value, making career moves, and sharpening leadership skills:

  • Hone self-awareness, as this will allow you to become a good collaborator, form good working relationships, and articulate your strengths and figure out how to use them
  • Support and develop those around you, demonstrating your impact on company culture, the safety and health management system, and the organization
  • Demonstrate alove of learning, showing that you’re willing to try new things and continue your education
