The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has posted a list of fire and life safety resources following the recent catastrophic residential fires in Philadelphia and the Bronx.
Resources include information on home heating equipment fires, with a tip sheet on safe practices for heating homes during winter months, as well as statistics on fires involving heating equipment nationwide. NFPA also offers information on fire sprinklers as well as NFPA 101, Life Safety Code, which addresses requirements for high-rise buildings, doors, exits, stairways, fire protection systems, and the role of the authority having jurisdiction.
See the NFPA news item to learn more.
