The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) recently held a design thinking session with Stanley Black & Decker on how small- to mid-size manufacturers can use the latest digital tools in manufacturing.

“Industry 4.0” technologies, which can help companies reimagine their operations through the use of digital and smart innovations, are considered the fourth Industrial Revolution in manufacturing. As U.S. manufacturing recovers from the economic setbacks of the global pandemic, adopting digital tools can be a key part of manufacturers’ strategy for progress. Participants spoke on how small- to medium-sized manufacturers have just as much opportunity available to them through these technologies as large businesses.
