HL7 to Host Free Webinar for Health IT Vendors on ONC Certification Program Final Rule

10/15/2020

Health Level Seven International (HL7) will host a free webinar on the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) final rule, released earlier this year, to enable all provisions of the 21st Century Cures Act, as applicable to its ONC 2015 Edition Electronic Health Record (EHR) Certification Program.

The final rule will impact Health IT vendors, who will need to have HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resource (FHIR) application programming interface (API), United States Core Data for Interoperability (USCDI) datasets, and other 21st Century Cures requirements in the near future in order to be eligible for ONC’s Cures Certification Program.

“FHIR-Up your EHRs and Health Apps: Leveraging FHIR for ONC’s Certification Program” will give an overview of the changes, impact of the final rule, and next steps for health IT vendors and EHRs to comply with these mandates. The webinar is on Tuesday, October 20, from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. EDT.
