NIST Webinar: Tools to Help SMEs Manage Risks in the Transatlantic Marketplace

6/06/2024

Register for the June 26 Webinar

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) will host a June 26 webinar to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) an overview of resources to better manage cybersecurity risks when doing business in the transatlantic marketplace. Register for the NIST WebEx session online.

Among cybersecurity concerns, digital information theft has become a commonly reported business fraud. Last year, a cybersecurity report revealed that 57% of SMEs have experienced a cybersecurity breach. Faced with these potential setbacks—and as more SMEs turn to online services and digital devices to operate more successfully across the globe—managing cybersecurity is a priority.

NIST’s webinar will expand on its international engagement efforts and provide updates on its small business cybersecurity resources, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 Small Business Quick Start Guide, published this year. The session will also highlight the export assistance provided by the NIST Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) National Network.

Hear from experts David De Falco, deputy assistant secretary for Europe and Eurasia, global markets, International Trade Administration, United States Department of Commerce, and Daniel Eliot, lead for small business engagement, Applied Cybersecurity Division, NIST.

NIST’s webinar supports the efforts of the U.S.-EU Trade and Technology Council (TTC) Working Group 9, which is focused on ensuring access to digital tools and technologies for SMEs in both the EU and the United States.
