Only Two Weeks to Go! Join ANSI at the 2024 U.S.-Korea Standards Forum in Washington, D.C.

6/14/2024

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) will co-host the hybrid 2024 U.S.-Korea Standards Forum on Friday, June 28, with in-person attendance at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

Led by ANSI president and CEO, Joe Bhatia, and KATS administrator, Chongwook Chin, this annual forum provides a platform for leaders and subject-matter experts across industries, government, and academia from both countries to enhance mutual understanding, exchange expertise and best practices, and develop future cooperation.

Each year, the forum provides a unique opportunity for U.S. experts and Korean executives and officials to discuss standards across a range of sectors, identifying challenges and areas of potential collaboration in emerging technologies. This year’s technical breakout sessions include:

  • Green Energy and Carbon Neutrality: solar photovoltaic energy systems, marine energy, green buildings, sustainable aviation fuel, and whole life carbon measurement and verification
  • Next Generation Mobility: unmanned aircraft, EV/ICV/intelligent transportation systems, and mobile robotics
  • Artificial Intelligence: AI governance mechanisms and the work of ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42
  • Quantum: post-quantum cryptography and insights from ISO/IEC JTC 3 and IEC SEG 14 members
  • Semiconductors: neuromorphic and bio-semiconductors, as well as trust and sustainability in the supply chain
  • Digital Identify: personal digital identity and e-labeling

In-person attendance allows for rich networking opportunities, potential follow-up meetings, and engagement with an impressive range of U.S. and Korean movers and shakers from both the public and private sectors. Participants who attend in person are also invited to attend a special session on standards education following a networking lunch.
