Directory of University Courses That Teach Standardization Now Expanded

4/07/2022

As part of an effort to raise awareness of the importance of standards and conformity assessment to students, academia, and the public, the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and its Committee on Education (CoE) have updated and expanded the directory of university courses that cover standardization or utilize standards as course material.

Standards are critical tools for a robust economy, public health and safety, and quality of life, and standards education at every level is a key to ensuring the next generation is armed with the knowledge and skills to continue this important work. Recognizing that, the CoE continually works with members of the U.S. academic community to promote the incorporation of standards-related information into university curricula.

The updated directory of university courses is available in the Education section of ANSI.org.

About ANSI’s Committee on Education

The ANSI Committee on Education (CoE) oversees all Institute initiatives related to standards and conformity assessment education and fulfills the objectives of the United States Standards Strategy. The committee works with the entire standardization community to introduce the importance of standards to the academic community and to the public at large, and continually seeks out partnerships and opportunities to engage and inform new constituents of all ages.
