The Project Management Institute (PMI) has released a new report that details how high-performing Project Management Offices (PMOs) are crucial drivers of innovation and transformation, and how they play a vital role in helping organizations deliver meaningful, measurable value.
PMI’s report, “Built to Thrive,” reveals that more than half of project professionals (54%) say their organizations have high-performing PMOs. PMI spotlights top-performing PMOs by industry, with consulting (74% were rated as high-performing), energy (61%), and IT (56%) industries leading the way.
Findings show that:
“Forward-thinking organizations know how to nurture and empower their PMOs to build competitive advantage and resilience, as strong PMOs are effective transformation and innovation hubs,” said Americo Pinto, managing director of PMO Global Alliance, Project Management Institute.
