During Safe Digging Month, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) highlights the importance of safe digging practices in a new feature article.

AEM is a member of the Common Ground Alliance (CGA), which launched Safe Digging Month to raise public awareness about underground safety. Campaigns and activities focus on promoting safe digging to the general public and professionals nationwide. As part of its effort, AEM has published an interview with Siggi Finnsson, senior product manager at Digital Control Inc., who underscores the importance of safety planning and accessibility.

“All in all, safe digging practices are extremely important in our industry, as there could be catastrophic consequences if existing pipes are damaged, or if there is not enough clearance surrounding existing pipes,” Finnsson shared.
