The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) will host a webinar to provide an overview of additive manufacturing evaporative casting (AMEC), a new hybrid process that merges 3D printing with lost foam investment casting. The presentation will detail the AMEC process; how it solves 3D-related issues including high costs, limited materials, difficulty in qualification, and slow deposition rate; and proof of concept gears that have been produced.

The session will feature presenter Sarah Jordan, CEO, Skuld—a company focused on the new AMEC process and other manufacturing innovations.
