The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) has published key takeaways from the Manufacturing Institute’s “Solution Series: Recruitment Workshop,” where industry professionals discussed manufacturing recruitment challenges and identified ways to address them.
The findings underscore some of the challenges that manufacturers face in recruiting employees, particularly hourly and shop-floor workers. Among the key recommendations to recruit manufacturing talent more effectively: Tighten up the job description, streamline the application process, and think about how to source talent.
