IEEE has signed a four-year read-and-publish agreement with the University of California (UC), allowing researchers from the university’s ten campuses to publish open access in IEEE’s journals and magazines.
Through the agreement, UC authors will be able to publish open access, even if they do not have research funds available to pay for open access publishing (which typically has an article processing charge). The agreement also provides UC students with reading access to millions of documents in IEEE’s digital library, including standards, scientific journals, and proceedings.
