The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has announced that its student and apprentice membership is now free for all individuals who are currently studying fire protection, electrical building and life safety, industrial hazards, emergency response, or other careers that have safety ramifications.
Students qualify for this offer if they are taking a minimum of six credit hours at the undergraduate level, or three credit hours at the graduate level. Apprentices qualify if they are enrolled in state and nationally recognized degree or certificate programs with a minimum of 1,000 combined on-the-job/classroom training hours. Benefits of the free membership include access to the NFPA job board, a free NFPA ConferenceAdvantage pass, the opportunity to submit articles to NFPA Journal, and a discount on most NFPA products and solutions.
