ISA to Host Webinar on Interoperability and Standards Protocols

The International Society of Automation (ISA) will host a webinar on Tuesday, January 18, from 1-3 p.m., as part of its IIoT & Smart Manufacturing Series: “The ABCs of Interoperability and Standards Protocols.”

The webinar will feature an unbiased look at various options available for users who seek secure, standards-based technology to support their IIoT architecture. Listeners will hear from industry experts on the latest advancements in the interoperability arena, discussing how open-system architectures such as Open Platform Communications Unified Architecture (OPC UA) and MQ Telemetry Transport (MQTT) enable secure and timely sharing of data across a system, network, or enterprise. Topics will include history and background, data modeling, conformance and adoption, version support, cyber security, unified namespace, legacy equipment support, and the future roadmap.
