The American Oil Chemists’ Society (AOCS) is hosting a free webinar this month on product formulation for personal care products.

“The Use of Plant Proteins in Personal Care Products” addresses the multitude of choices that personal care product manufacturers face for product formulation, and the growing popularity of using plant proteins to replace animal-derived proteins. Participants will learn best practices for selecting optimal raw materials for various functions and activities; the differences in use and function of native proteins, hydrolyzed proteins, and synthetic peptides; the complexities of claim substantiation, measuring functions, safety evaluation, and regulatory space; and the differences between cosmetic and pharmaceutical practices and domains.
