The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Company Member Forum (CMF) is accepting nominations for the roles of 2021 CMF chair and vice chair(s) by Friday, August 21, 2020. New terms shall commence on January 1, 2020.
The CMF serves as a venue for ANSI members representing the full spectrum of U.S. industry to examine issues related to national and global standards, as well as conformity assessment developments. The forum provides industry members an opportunity to collectively shape and influence U.S. policy in the domestic and international arena, while bolstering cross-networking and alliances.
Responsible for ensuring that the work of the CMF is carried out in a prompt, efficient, and effective manner, the CMF chair serves on the ANSI Board of Directors and on the Executive Committee of the Board. The vice chair(s) is/are responsible for assuming duties of the chair in their absence, and such other duties requested from time-to-time by the chair and CMF.
Per the CMF Operating Guidelines, the CMF can have up to two (2) vice chairs. The positions of chair and vice chair(s) serve one-year terms and individuals may not serve more than three consecutive terms. As noted in ANSI's By-Laws, the chairs of the ANSI member forums must meet the criteria for Board membership set forth in Section 3.04.

Nominations for CMF chair or vice chair(s) may be submitted through Friday, August 21, 2020, to Susan Bose, the ANSI CMF staff liaison via email: [email protected]. Self-nominations are welcome.
The chair of the CMF Nominating Committee will work with the committee to consider all potential candidates for the positions identified and to make the appropriate recommendations.
