U.S.-Korea Standards Dialogue and Open Forum 2021

The U.S.-Korea Standards Dialogue and Open Forum is an annual conference co-hosted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Korean Agency for Technology and Standards (KATS) to share insights on standards development, technology trends, and market demands, while exploring collaboration opportunities in standardization between the two countries. It establishes a valuable platform for the leaders and subject-matter experts from government, academia, and industries from the U.S. and South Korea to enhance mutual understanding, exchange expertise and best practices, and develop future cooperation.

The 2021 conference will be held as a two-part virtual event consisting of the following two sessions (please note dates/times for EST and KST):

Open Forum

December 1, 7:10 pm – 10:00 pm EST / December 2, 9:10 am – 12:00 pm KST

Including opening remarks, technical keynotes, and presentations by government officials, subject-matter scholars, and industry experts. Speakers will include Joe Bhatia, President and CEO of ANSI; Sanghoon Lee, KATS Administrator; James Kim, Chair and CEO of AMCHAM Korea; and more.

Four Parallel Technical Sessions

December 2, 7:00 am – 10:00 am EST / December 2, 9:00 pm – 12:00 am KST

Small-scale seminars/workshops for industry experts to discuss practical and technical details focusing on:

  • Quantum technology
  • Artificial intelligence
  • Semiconductor
  • Future of mobility

All ANSI members are welcome to join the Open Forum; the four technical sessions will have limited space to keep the sessions small, focused, and productive. Participation in the technical sessions may be subject to approval by the co-organizers. Registration is required via the button below.
