at a banquet and ceremony on October 11
at The
Ritz-Carlton in Washington, DC, during the fall 2023 World Standards
Week events.

1, 2023: ANSI recently released a draft of the Roadmap of Standards and Codes for Electric Vehicles at Scale
developed by the Institute’s Electric Vehicles Standards Panel (EVSP). The
roadmap identifies key safety, performance, and interoperability issues; notes
relevant published and in-development standards; and makes recommendations to
address gaps in codes and standards. This includes recommending
pre-standardization research and development where needed.

Standards Panel on April 4-5, 2023.
According to the proposal, specialty metals and minerals are
defined as commodities and commodity groups related to a broad range of
existing and emerging technologies, renewable energy, and national security. As
the U.S. member body to the International Organization for Standardization,
ANSI seeks comments by April 28, 2023.

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has
opened a Trustworthy & Responsible Artificial Intelligence Resource Center
(AIRC) to serve as a repository for current federal guidance on AI. The AIRC,
formally launched on March 30, offers stakeholders easy access to previously
issued materials, facilitating the creation of responsible AI systems by both
public and private entities.
These 22 new members joined a federation that represents and
serves the diverse interests of more than 270,000 companies and well over 30
million professionals.
