Overview
This two-day workshop is designed to introduce interested stakeholders to the
international standard ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 — General requirements for bodies
operating certification schemes for persons. Discussions focus on
building an understanding of the standard’s requirements, its benefits, and why
it has become the benchmark for personnel certification.
The objective of ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024 is to achieve and promote a globally
accepted benchmark for bodies managing the certification of persons. The
document has the consensus approval of more than 150 nations, has been adopted
for use as the American National Standard, and is being increasingly recognized
by the U.S. federal government, organized labor, and the certification
industry.

Through presentations, small group discussions and exercises, you will:
